mattison:maternity session

I actually met Cassandra and Tim several years ago in a Sunday School class, when we moved to the area after Hurricane Katrina. So, it was a complete surprise when they walked in for their session; and I suddenly realized they weren’t “strangers” after all! What a small world!

I love the idea of maternity photography! What a beautiful season of life to capture and remember forever! Having been pregnant 4 times, I always get a soft spot when I see an expectant mom and the same was true during my time with this sweet couple.

I truly desire for every session to reflect the unique personalities of those in front of the camera. So,when I learned that Tim had played baseball for USF during his college years and in the minor leagues, it seemed fitting that we would get together at his “old stomping grounds.” The idea of sitting in the stands, munching on Cracker Jacks, with Cassandra’s awesome belly just made me smile! So does the thought of meeting little Elise in October!

Here are a few of my favorite images from the day, as well a movie of our time together. Oh, Tim and Cassandra, that wasp sting I got at the baseball field was soooo worth it!

Enjoy and don’t forget to post a comment!!

I love how pregnant women glow! Isn’t Cassandra beaming?! So beautiful!

For sure, this has to be one of my favorites!!

Love this image of Cassandra’s beautiful belly! It never ceases to amaze me that a tiny, precious life is growing inside!

Thank you Cassandra and Tim for allowing me to capture this awesome time in your lives. I can not wait to meet sweet little Elise Ann! She is going to be so blessed to have you for parents!

Megan - All I can say is “Wow”! Your video had me in tears even though I don’t even know this couple. You just hit the mark of how special that time is, when a couple is experiencing the precious transition from becoming a couple to a family!!!

diaz:family session

I met up with Ben and Lydia, one extremely warm morning, to capture some precious moments of them with Ray. I was so excited going into this session, simply because I’ve had the honor of shooting 2 of Ben’s 3 brothers and their families. I just love this Diaz clan!

But, in an effort to keep it real, my excitement was coupled with anxiety, as Ben’s stunning wife is a model- and I’m not talking a model for your local newspaper, I’m talking…New York model. In fact, this cute couple just moved there! I couldn’t imagine how unique the morning would be shooting someone who’s always in front of the camera, knowing that family sessions are so different and filled with so many spontaneous moments.

The morning was a blast! Lydia and Ben were great, and cute little Ray was nothing short of adorable! And… thanks to Maury (Ben’s mom) and a little patience, we got some precious expressions as well!

Here are some of my favorite images from their session, starting with one that I would be framing in my own home if this was my little girl! I just love how Ray was sticking close to her Daddy! Isn’t it so sweet?

One good looking fam!

I love this little series from inside the gardens! There’s something so touching about a little girl and her daddy!

Taking a break = having lots of fun!

I believe, one of the most precious moments during family sessions is when the camera fades away in the mind of the clients and genuine interaction begins. This little segment of time can produce the most priceless images, just like this one! You can almost feel the love!

I found out before our time together that Ray’s favorite colors are green and purple, so I couldn’t resist bringing along a little “prize!”

A couple of moments with Maury!

This picture makes me smile…

…as does this one!

Finally, I couldn’t resist sharing these last two. Lydia caught a lizard for Ray during our session. I couldn’t believe how close these girls got to the tiny slimy critter- way braver than me for sure!!

What session would be complete without the true expression of childhood? Silly faces!!

Thanks Ben and Lydia for allowing me to freeze in time some sweet moments of you with the little girl you both love so much. It was an honor and of course, lots of fun! Sure hope you’re enjoying the “Big Apple!” May these images help bridge the distance between you and the ones you adore!

Blessings, Annie

Sharon - I swear that Diaz family are some of the prettiest people ever! And now they have Lydia!! We may all stop taking pictures altogether once Ben and Lydia have a baby;) And I can’t believe Lydia picked up a lizard! Great pics!

florio:wedding reception

Cami and Mike got in touch with me by a referral from Erin and it was so great getting to know them! They got married in St. Croix, but returned home for a wonderful reception to celebrate their union amongst family and friends. Cami decided to keep the tropical theme going; so the room was full of coral colors and lots of shells. Anything beachy is my kind of party!

I always make sure to capture details of the room, but Cami was so stunning I didn’t want to miss any details of the bride either.

Cami and Mike nearly left out the traditional feeding of the cake; but I’m so glad they decided to go for it! I love the expressions in these pictures!

Toast time!

The groom loves to sing and play his guitar, so it was only fitting that he did so at the reception. He was accompanied by Stephanie Anderson.

I love these images of Cami watching and listening while her husband serenades the guests!

If there are kiddos, you know I can’t resist a few pictures! These are 2 of my favorites from the day.

I love the emotion displayed in this image!

And in this one too!

Here are a few of my favorite couple images from the festivities as well.

I love the shadows on the ground in this image!

Another fun favorite!

Thank you Cami and Mike for allowing me to be a part of your special day. It was a privilege to be amongst your sweet family and friends! I hope you’ve enjoyed reliving some of these sweet moments and that many years down the road these images will still evoke the emotions that you felt on this very day!

Enjoy and don’t forget to leave a comment!

hyrne:sibling session

My friend Annie, who happens to bear the same name as me, moved out of state quite quickly and it had been months since I had seen her! So, I was truly excited when I got an email saying she’d be coming down for a visit! I was equally excited, when she asked if I would meet up with her to capture some fresh new images of her children. What an honor that she would allow me the opportunity to be a part of her vacation schedule!!

I met up with this sweet family, on a warm and bright sunny afternoon. It may have been hot, but Emma and Ethan were champs!! Their blue eyes sparkled just like always and their cute little personalities shined too! Here are a few of my faves from the day.

I wonder what Ethan is thinking about in this adorable picture?

Emma was so cute with her lollipop!

I love the expressions on their faces in this one!

Love these of Ethan! Look at those big blue eyes!!

I was working on getting a few shots of these two together when suddenly Ethan perked up and started smiling! He heard a train nearby and being the biggest fan of Thomas the Tank Engine, he could hardly contain his excitement. I knew just what we had to do… go find that station! So, off we went. While we never found “Thomas,” we did manage to get some sweet images of the big 4 year old! It was the perfect way to end our session!

Thank you Annie for the privilege of catching up with you again and of course, for trusting me to capture this sweet time in the life of your children. They are so beautiful and I pray that these images will be cherished for many years to come! Thanks for being so patient too- I hope they were worth the wait!!
