Months and months ago, when I first sat with Brianna and Matthew over a cup of coffee, I knew their day was going to be so special. We connected on so many levels with our own love stories and I simply couldn’t wait for their big day to unfold. They had a vision that went beyond themselves and it made me think about these conversations that Rahul and I had with our mentors some 15 years ago. Instead of just a wedding, they desired for their day to be a reflection of Christ and the hope they have found in Him. It was more than exchanging rings, it was making a covenant. It was more than stunning florals- and they were stunning, and so much more than a breathtaking dress. Brianna and Matthew wanted everything to be done with purpose and attention to details that would make lasting impact.
The other thing that literally made tears well up in my eyes, was one decision they made- a decision that my own husband and I had made as well. Brianna and Matthew postponed their honeymoon departure so that they could attend church on Sunday morning with their guests. I had never met anyone else who had made this decision and I knew it was one that they would never regret… because all these years later, we look back and still count that as one of our deepest honors.
These two get it.
They understand that marriage is sacrifice and they have confidently pledged that theirs will be rooted in Christ.
What a beautiful day and what a privilege it was to capture it for them. The story they told was one of love, hope, adoration and commitment. And it is a story worth retelling here…

Such a sweet first look!
